This statement applies to the Pipernus cloud accounting and tax application at https://www.pipernus.app. It does not cover third-party websites or services that Pipernus links to, or the separate marketing website at https://www.pipernus.com.

PIPERNUS GROUP LTD is committed to making Pipernus accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology, keyboard-only navigation, zoom or alternative input methods.

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

Current status

Pipernus is undergoing a product-wide accessibility audit and remediation programme. We do not yet make a formal claim that the entire authenticated application conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Automated checks, component tests and source-code review have identified and helped us correct a number of issues. Automated testing cannot, by itself, demonstrate WCAG conformance. Keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, reflow, focus and task-completion testing are also required before we make a formal conformance claim.

What we are working to support

We want users to be able to:

navigate and operate the Service using a keyboard;
use a screen reader with meaningful headings, labels, landmarks and status messages;
zoom text and content without controls overlapping or becoming unavailable;
use the application at narrow viewport widths without losing information or functionality;
distinguish controls, focus indicators, text and status information with sufficient contrast;
understand validation and error messages and correct a problem without unnecessary repetition; and
obtain the information represented by charts, tables and visual status indicators in a non-visual form.

Current validation limitation

The current release candidate includes product-wide remediation for the previously identified dialog, drawer, command, chart, table, form, heading, drag-alternative, focus and responsive-reflow defects in the regulated and core accounting journeys.

It has not yet completed the final authenticated production-equivalent scan and the full manual keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, reflow and task-completion matrix. Until that validation is complete, users may still encounter an unidentified accessibility defect in a legacy or less frequently used workflow. Please contact us using the details below if this happens. We will prioritise any problem that prevents access to HMRC, tax, banking or accounting functions.

Our testing and remediation approach

The current programme includes:

WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA rule coverage in automated accessibility scans;
component and regression tests for accessible names, roles, keyboard interaction and focus behaviour;
keyboard-only review of core workflows;
reflow and zoom review, including narrow mobile-sized viewports;
contrast and non-colour status review;
screen-reader review of core journeys; and
manual review of complex tables, charts, dialogs, errors and dynamic status messages.

We will update this statement after the release candidate has been deployed and validated in the production-equivalent environment. We will review it no later than 31 August 2026, even if some work remains, so that the limitations and evidence remain accurate.

We will review the request and respond as soon as reasonably practicable. We will not require more disability information than is necessary to understand and address the request.

Technical information

PIPERNUS GROUP LTD is responsible for the accessibility of the Pipernus Service. The application uses web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA where native HTML alone is not sufficient.

Our accessibility target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This statement is not a certification or a claim of full conformance. A formal claim will be made only after the relevant production scope has passed the required automated and manual validation.

Third-party services

Some journeys redirect to or display information from third parties, including HMRC, payment providers, banks or app stores. We do not control the accessibility of those third-party services. Please report a problem to us if it prevents completion of a Pipernus workflow so that we can investigate, provide available support and raise it with the provider where appropriate.
